Stage 1 (first 2-3 weeks): Thriving happens when you design a life where you spend the most time possible in your strength areas, honoring your values and outsourcing or supporting your challenges.

 

Stage 2 is where the magic happens! This typically takes around 4-6 months. You pick personal skills that you want to develop. Among the most common skills needed for ADHDers to thrive are:

 

  • avoiding procrastination
  • managing distraction

  • controlling impulsivity or emotions

  • prioritizing, planning & getting organized

  • managing time

  • gaining balance between productivity and recharging.

 

We build strategies to develop the skills together. In coaching, we are equal partners, because I may know what works for ADHD brains, but you are the expert on you!

 

Stage 3 (last meeting or two is where we send you off with a success-plan for you to carry into your future, with the option of periodic maintenance sessions.

Metrics

Motivation is what gets you started.

Habit is what keeps you going.

 

Lasting change is incremental, not drastic. Little habits, when consistently done, turn into significant strides. Your habits determine your future! As we work together, we’re going to routinely track and measure such things.

 

Tracking can also unearth patterns in what works, what doesn’t, and shed light on how to move forward.

Actions

Together we will identify actions to move you forward: steps for you to take in order to implement the takeaways from our conversations.

They will be concrete and time-bound - they'll come with a specific due date (as opposed to “Yeah, I really should do that someday”).

Actions we create can include reminders, helping you to remember to fit them into your busy life.

You will also see the growing collection of completed actions, so you’re going to end up with a nice record of accomplishments, which frankly, will leave you feeling fantastic!

Worksheets

More than Just Conversations

 

Conversations are great, but the real magic comes when you bring the coaching to your life.

 

Strategies + Practice = Skills.

 

Between sessions is where you apply the coaching in your life, where you carry out experiments to see what works for you. Worksheets will help you to keep in mind the inspiration from our session and apply it to your life.

Session Notes

By now you have a sense for how our coaching for you is not just 1 hour sessions, but rather sessions supported by structures to help you follow through and get what you came for (NOT just some good ideas that will fade or get forgotten.) 

Session Notes contain key takeaways for you on a silver platter that will build for you a growing collection of personal gems. 

 

***Of course I know that smart phones can be a death trap for productivity with ADHD! That's why my portal can also be easily accessed from a desktop.
